There is one path to IPMC certification, and it is the same for everyone who applies — regardless of how long you've been coaching, or whether you've never coached at all.
Before applying, understand what you're applying to. IPMC does not certify "empowerment" or good intentions — it certifies the ability to produce measurable change in another person's performance, using the Trisphereon methodology. If that distinction doesn't matter to you yet, sit with it before you apply.
IPMC certifies across three levels, each training a different domain of the Trisphereon: TR1 — Performance Practitioner (content), TR2 — Performance Guide (context), and TR3 — Performance Master (contribution). Every coach starts at TR1 and progresses in sequence — there is no skipping ahead. Each level is a twelve-month journey, so completing all three is a three-year path.
Compare the LevelsThere is no checkout page. Every applicant is reviewed for fit before being accepted into a cohort — referred applicants and unreferred applicants are assessed on exactly the same basis. Not every application is accepted, and that's by design.
Start an ApplicationCertification happens once a year, over two days, in person, alongside the global cohort earning theirs at the same time. There is no remote or self-paced route to certification — the standard is trained and tested live, not watched on a screen.
Attendance is not certification. Each level closes with a live assessment against the standard for that domain of the Trisphereon — the point where the credential is actually earned, not simply issued for showing up.
Once certified, you gain the right to practise under the Performance Capability name at your certified level — a business asset as much as a personal one. What you build on it from there, and how far you take it through TR2 and TR3, is yours to decide.
Why Become a Performance MasterAnyone can print a certificate. What makes IPMC certification worth having is that it can't be printed without being earned — trained against a specific methodology, tested live, and assessed by people who have no reason to be generous. That's the entire point of building a floor under this profession: a standard clients can actually rely on, and coaches can actually be proud of.
"Certification without assessment is decoration. IPMC exists because the coaching profession needs a floor — and floors are built by standards, not by good intentions."
The path is the same whether you're starting a coaching career or formalising one you already have.
